REST IN PEACE - October 5th 1984 - December 19th 2009
Adam James Loero, age 25, was found dead in the early morning hours of December 19, 2009 on the San Lorenzo River Railroad Trestle with a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the heart. He suffered from severe depression for many years before the pain of his living in this world became too unbearable. He is survived by his loving family members; father, Anthony, mother, Candice, sister, Megan Loero brother-in-law Joseph Jacobs, grandparents and extended family and friends.
With Adam's passing, the world loses a brilliant shining star. He was a loving, caring, sensitive son, brother and friend, a gifted student, dedicated skimmer and surfer. His sense of humor and quick wit touched many and brought much laughter into the lives of those who knew him.
Adam was a kind and gentle soul who treaded lightly on this earth. He was seen frequently gliding along the shore skimming the cresting waves with his own unique style, a combination of grace, glory and furious passion. Whatever he embraced he did with fervor and dedication, rapidly mastering most things he pursued.
Adam was a man on a mission, never deterred by adversity or hardship. As a graduate student at University of California, San Diego, Adam was completing his Masters degree in Structural Engineering. He persevered and triumphed always, until his increasing inner battles overcame him.
He will always be remembered for the sparkle in his eye, the spring in his step and his warm, friendly smile. He lived his short life to the fullest, touched the lives of many, achieved much, and brought great joy to all.
Adam Loero died peacefully and painlessly in the arms of an angel on the bridge over the San Lorenzo River under the winter night sky. His life's light forever extinguished, passed over and beyond our grasp. His family and friends loved and cared for him deeply, they will never forget him nor ever fully recover from their profound loss.
