I was born in san francisco and lived there until I was five. Then my parents moved back closer to santa cruz (where they had grown up, and their parents had grown up) and we moved
to scotts valley. i started taking photos (mostly skating) with my dads old olympus OM-1 around 2000. I started skimming the year after, and never really put the two together until
after I moved to Oahu for school (2004) and started shooting a lot of slides. Since then I have gone digital which allows me to shoot a lot more pictures without having to reload
the camera, and makes showing the photos a little easier. I started making my own skimboards in 2006 until the landlord pulled the plug a year later, and shaping became a guerilla
operation in any garage i could set up in for another six months or so. I just didn't have the time or resources to keep things going, so the good people at Surftech just hooked
me up with a board and I am stoked on how it rides so far.
